
BROOKS TUCKER
Brooks Tucker served as an infantry platoon commander in the Second Marine Division and is a combat veteran of the Persian Gulf War. He was born in Saudi Arabia in 1965, the son of an expatriate American oil worker. During his years in the Middle East, he visited Iran, Syria, Lebanon, Kuwait, and the United Arab Emirates. Brooks attended University of Maryland and was graduated in 1987 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. A Lieutenant Colonel in the Marine Reserves, his most recent overseas military service was in Al Anbar Province, Iraq in 2007-2008. Brooks spent 2009 as a Marine Corps Congressional Fellow in the United States Senate and is now the Senior Policy Advisor, National Security and Veterans' Affairs for Senator Richard Burr (R-NC). He has been a director on the board of the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation since 2000. Brooks resides in Annapolis, MD with his wife and two children.
